2018 EDITION

The second edition of IABSE Future of Design in New York City was held on April 28, 2018. Over 170 professionals, contractors, academics and students joined at the Manny Cantor Center in the Lower East Side, NYC.

The 2018 edition of Future of Design NYC was organized in four sessions that took the audience from incredible stories of collaborative work to the discovery of one’s own experience in communicating between different fields. In the first session, the attendees watched designers across the world tell their stories and heard emerging and established design professionals give their take on creative interdisciplinary work. In the afternoon, attendees learned about what collaboration means in practice from a vibrant panel of architects and engineers, and participated in a workshop to apply some of ideas they discussed.
